I've been playing around with older pieces that weren't working for me, cutting them into smaller shapes and combining them. They seem to work better in these new reconfigurations; a bit more complex visually than they were alone, but still harmonious.
These are ten inches square, made of acrylic and ink on canvas.

just wanted to say that I love your blog! I found your blog through a link on deborah bohnert's site - another artist who I really like....this post was especially interesting to me, since I also like to "recycle" or reconfigure past pieces of work. It's fascinating to see how old pieces can be comletely transformed in a new context. keep up the wonderful work!

Thank you so much, Sara, I'm so glad you like the blog. Frankly I was hesitant to cut up these paintings, because they weren't too bad. They just weren't excellent. Now I'm so much happier with them.
