Out of left field

I've just completed a pair of new works on canvas that, due to colorations, resemble landscapes. I love the idea of a vertical "slice" through the type of scene that is traditionally horizontal in format.

What prompted this change of pace, you ask? Nothing carefully considered, frankly - just the fact that my art budget for 2014 has run out, but my desire to create has not! So I am using up whatever stretcher bars, canvas lengths, and paint I have left over until the new year kicks in! (Both are acrylic on canvas, 20" high by 12" wide.)
