New brown series

Here's another series I've just completed, made up of various pieces that didn't start out together. The three on the left are actually several years old, but they were alone and lost as individuals. As I continued on with the modular painting idea, I decided to put the three together and create two more that fit into the same theme.

Here's a closeup, to give a sense of the details. The center painting is the one I finished this morning:

Catherine, just discovered your blog and I love it! I'm reading the 2 career books you mentioned (the 4 that Joanne Mattera mentioned on her recent blog post are all very good).

I love the Tides piece especially, and your description of your working process is so interesting.

I'll put a link to your blog on my blog...and I'll enjoy keeping up with your writing and new work.

Thank you so much, Diane! I appreciate the kind words and the offer of a link, and I will do the same for you. Also I'm glad to hear your thoughts on the career books; I was wondering about the other two Joanne recommended, as the library doesn't have them. (Doesn't Joanne ROCK? I've learned so much from reading her blog.)
